Supported by a highly active, ambitious private equity house our client is a “ buy and build “ that has through acquisition grown to revenues in excess of £200 million. To support the Chief Financial Officer and Group Chief Executive we seek to appoint an analytically adept and commercially able Group Financial Controller.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of a sophisticated IT package to integrate the businesses within the group to be able to utilise the data to review the subsidiary businesses and provide a financial platform for the executive and the shareholders to make better decisions and enhance competitive edge. The Group Financial Controller will prepare short and long term forecasts including cash and working capital forecasts and will prepare the formal annual budget. He/she will be involved in acquisition analysis and integration and will engage key stakeholders across the business to understand and interpret performance and identify risks and opportunities.
The Group Financial Controller to be appointed will be a qualified accountant in all likelihood a Chartered Accountant with a demonstrable record of working with “ active “ clients and the gravitas and credibility to present to the executives and Non Executives and understand and contribute to the strategy. Technically sound this is a role that engages with all aspects of the business and needs strong interpersonal skills, an engaging personality and the ability to drive and implement change.
