Job description:

Our client is a highly successful healthcare business that is at the heart of the current healthcare agenda. It’s recent fundraise coupled with the “scaling” of its operation leaves it well placed to play a pivotal role in us conquering and controlling the current challenges that we all face. To play a key part in the strategic and operational agenda we seek to appoint an outstanding Chief Financial Officer to support the Chairman, Chief Executive and main board and be the principal point of contact to manage the shareholder and advisor interface.

Through a small central team, the successful candidate will be responsible for all budgeting, forecasting and modelling together with rigorous and robust working capital and cash flow management. The finance function needs to be capable of providing support and challenge across the business during a period of forecasted significant growth both organically and potentially through acquisition. The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the presentation of the summary of results and other financial information at the board meetings and identify financial analysis to explain trends and highlight areas of financial concern. We seek to appoint a well-rounded, capable finance professional who will be comfortable in a collegiate environment in which he/she will be expected to influence and contribute at all levels across the business.

The individual to be appointed will have a strong grounding in all aspects of financial control in a multi-site business, will be a good manager with the ability to motivate, develop and delegate effectively and to communicate at all levels across the business. He/she will have the necessary maturity and breadth of experience to command the respect of his/her colleagues on the board and will have the commercial breadth and strategic skills to make a positive contribution to the management and ongoing development of the business. Key to the necessary skill set is a demonstrable record of successful shareholder management either within the public or private equity arena together with the ambition and ability to both originate and implement change and make a contribution to unlocking the obvious potential that the business has.
