With revenue of c £25 million and the support of a well regarded private equity house, our client is focused on transforming its business to take advantage of the commercial and operational opportunities to develop a “best in class” proposition that will position it as a market leader in a very fragmented market place.
Supported by a Sales, Production and Finance Director, the Managing Director to be appointed will be well rounded and proven and have strong interpersonal skills to quickly build a cohesive and collegiate executive driven to develop a market leading business with processes and efficiencies together with service levels that will match the best in any industry. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership to the team and will develop a momentum and energy to assist in the shareholders objective of achieving a successful exit in the next three years. A background in “added value” manufacturing coupled with experience of successful marketing and NPD delivery as well as robust testing and sales specification would be ideal.
The Managing Director to be appointed will be able to demonstrate a record of providing leadership and direction in a period of significant change, will be experienced of “added value” manufacturing but whilst sector experience is always helpful experience of “best in class” market leading environments are key. The successful candidate could have a background in Furniture, Construction, or other added value customer facing manufacturing but most importantly will know what good looks like and have the leadership skills to lead others to know the same. Familiarity with stakeholder management, an unyielding passion for KPI monitoring and a methodical structured approach engendering a collegiate and close knit executive is taken as read.
