With revenues of c£90 million and the support of a global group our client develops and manufactures an extensive portfolio of strongly branded products that are all market leaders in the Building Products market place. Key to the achievement of ambitious future strategy is the appointment of a Head of Product Management who will report to the Chief Executive.
With a combination of technical and commercial skills the successful candidate will be accountable for developing the product portfolio strategy. He /she together with input from sales, NPD and operations will determine the way forward and determine which products are essential to extend the product range both for the present and the future. The Head of Product Management will be supported by a team of 5 and will be the link between sales, research and development and the business units ensuring that all product plans are aligned with the overall business plan and financial profitability targets. The individual to be appointed will be responsible for life cycle management, renewing the product portfolio based on market information and market analysis and determining and executing the market approach policy concerning products and pricing. He/she will organise and manage product launches and investigate market trends, customer insight, competition and growth opportunities for new product launches.
The successful candidate will be a graduate with experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment who can demonstrate technical and commercial skills and a record of successful change management. He / she will have gravitas and be passionate,driven and creative. A self starter who is proactive, energetic, always searching for improvement the individual to be appointed will have a good balance of strong analytical skills with a problem solving attitude.
