Entrepreneurially run our client has expanded over the years to now have a diverse portfolio of activities encompassing manufacturing , development , care , and hospitality . It needs to have more resource at its group offices to more effectively manage it’s businesses and provide succession to a semi retired Group Finance Director .
Working closely with the Chairman and Group Finance Director the successful candidate will have a proven record in a manufacturing environment and an in depth knowledge of added value production and profit generation . He / she will provide financial leadership across the subsidiaries and together with the Chairman will run business reviews closely liaising with operational management and gaining a deep understanding of the key drivers across the groups activities . The individual to be appointed will oversee the preparation of consolidated group and statutory accounts and build strong relationships with banks and auditors to understand the banking and finance arrangements of the group .
The Finance Director to be appointed will be a qualified accountant able to demonstrate a record of impacting on the operating performance of a manufacturing company ,have the ability to manage a number of different issues simultaneously and thrive in a down to earth , pragmatic and collegiate environment with short lines of communication and a fast pace . The successful candidate will be a good communicator able to build quality working relationships across the business , will be highly comfortable with Information Technology and have an enquiring mind . Success in this role should lead to internal promotion so it is taken as read that the individual to be appointed will have the potential to progress .
