Our client is an “early stage “ medtech business with market cutting edge and disruptive technologies. It has achieved significant milestones and successfully transitioned to a commercial organisation with manufacturing and sales teams and breakthrough products on the market . With the support of well regarded shareholders it now seeks to appoint a proven Chief Executive Officer to drive forward commercial initiatives and help place the company at the forefront of its field.
With the support of a small energetic , enthusiastic and academically gifted team the Chief Executive Officer will lead the growth of the business , manage both external and internal activities through the board and bring direction and leadership to the company whilst building and developing a team of commercial and scientific professionals. The successful candidate will direct the implementation of business strategy, lead fundraising activities to secure investment against the business plan and maintain and develop an organisational culture that is highly goal oriented but simultaneously cognisant of the need for the highest levels of integrity and values . The individual to be appointed will develop the strategic direction with potential global strategic partners , will together with the team “ own “ the budget and strategic plan and will relish establishing a collegiate environment with transparent communication channels with the Chairman , NED and CSO to create transparent and aligned decision making .
The successful candidate will be a strong leader ideally with experience in a business that has progressed from a company with some early commercial revenues to a fully fledged business with a market leading position , will be both a strategic thinker and a decision maker to “ get things done “ and implement a successful strategy . Previous experience of working successfully with early stage investors and institutions would be helpful as would a record of leading and building an early stage investor backed company as a board member . The Chief Executive Officer will have excellent influencing , communication and presentation skills together with a natural mentoring style and high emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills . It is taken as read that the individual appointed will be dynamic , proactive and energetic, have a mentoring manner and be highly determined , self motivated self starter with excellent organisational and planning expertise.
