Job description: 

This international niche B2B financial services company is experiencing sustained growth which is increasing both market share and profitability.  Already operating within 16 European countries there is also the likelihood of further international expansion into new territories.

The Board now seek to appoint a qualified accountant with mergers and acquisitions experience to be their Chief Financial Officer. In addition to the standard responsibility of leading the finance, compliance and legal functions, this role is both commercial and strategic as the company is VC-backed with clear targets and exit strategy.  The role requires a full and active participation in the Board Room.

Candidates should be accountants with experience gained within financial services, preferably insurance.  Exposure to venture capital backed businesses could be helpful but is not a prerequisite, although experience of mergers and acquisition is a necessity.  Also, you must have strong communication skills and the ability to form positive relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external.  For the right person, this is an opportunity to not only join a dynamic, fast growing working environment, but to shape and develop the future to meet the business’s strategic goals.
