Changes in the climate mean that water will become scarcer in many places, increasingly volatile in others, but no less vital. Globally, building sustainable communities, industries and infrastructure will become more demanding.  Therefore, the understanding of the movement, changing behaviour and influence of water in the natural and built environment is essential to our future well-being.

The Chair now needs to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to collaborate with the Board in providing strategic oversight and management of all financial aspects of the business and commercial activities, including consultancy, property, software and equipment sales.  As a member of the Board, you will head the Finance function so that it is fit for purpose and provides the company with meaningful and incisive management information.  It also ensures that financial, operational and compliance risks are identified and controlled. Management and oversight of Howbery Park Estates, the legal team and the IT team are also part of the role.

Candidates must be qualified accountants who have significant demonstrable experience of the consultancy sector, preferably with experience working in a global engineering businesses and understand charitable or Not-for-Profit environments.  In addition, commercial experience in software, property or equipment sales is desirable.
