This outstanding systems development enterprise has produced one of the leading carrier management systems for the logistics industry. Due to substantial growth the company now needs to recruit a seasoned business development specialist to be the Sales & Marketing Director.
This is a very broad commercial role, the key task will be to develop and then implement sales and marketing strategy. The strategy should develop not only the existing client-base but also a strong focus on the acquisition of new business clients. Obviously, due to the nature of the role, you will also work closely with the Finance Director to work on pricing and form a strong partnership with the MD to help lead the business forward.
Candidates should be business development professionals with a thorough understanding of transport management systems and the wider transport and logistics industry, both in the UK and Europe. As this is a technology led business, strong understanding of IT platforms and a track record in technical and solutions sales is essential.
Exposure and experience of running a marketing team would be useful plus a proven record devising and implementing business development plans. You will also need the interpersonal skills to operate at all levels but, primarily, the gravitas to be effective selling into Board level.
