Job description: 

The Client:  Mutt Motorcycles is a UK based company manufacturing retro-styled, custom inspired motorbikes with an emphasis on high end detailing and easy customisation.  Mutt was established in 2015 and combines contemporary culture and heritage and by focusing on such areas has created accessible machines built with cool credibility, designed for experienced or new riders alike.  Now operating in over 20 countries with significant investment secured they are on a fast track of global growth, continuing to double turnover year on year.

The Challenge:  To join the Board, as a Director, working alongside the Founders to drive operational effectiveness, particularly in challenging Supply chain environment, to support Mutt’s ambitious global growth plans over the coming years.

To bring wide commercial experience to the business to include end to end supply chain and procurement expertise leveraging best practice, with responsibility for all supplier relationships and ensuring optimum stock and logistics capability at all times.

The Candidate:  An energetic, enthusiastic and committed leader with experience of working with Board and entrepreneurial Founders, with a strong understanding of the needs of an SME going through a significant growth cycle.   Experience in supply chain management is essential and ideally breadth and depth of commercial experience to fulfil the leadership role within the business.  Likely to have experience in the automotive industry and procurement from the Far East market, with a proven track record of working effectively in co-operation and partnership with a wide range of organisations.  Qualified to at least degree level or equivalent experience.

Critical to this role is the ability to work hands on with a strong grasp of detail whilst being able to complement and form a close-knit relationship with the Founders and Board of Directors.  You will bring out the best in your team, lead by example, excel at collective leadership and effectively deliver change. You will be incisive and intuitive, generating a sense of purpose, teamwork, delivery and accountability.  You should be able to demonstrate significant financial management with a proven track record showing commercial acumen.
