Thatchers is a family business founded at Myrtle Farm in 1904 producing a thirst-quenching range of award-winning ciders. It is committed to producing high-quality ciders and this commitment is producing an increase in both turnover and market share.
As such, they are now seeking to recruit a Category Manager (Off-Trade) to help them deliver both their short-term forecasts and their long-term ambitions. Reporting to the Head of Off Trade Sales, the role will involve the delivery of trade & shopper promotional activations, to maximise the theatre around the brand and the execution in store.
The role is not to produce presentations for NAMs but to provide genuine “so what” actionable insight for the customer. As an individual you will be someone who can support the off-trade commercial team and customers and would be confident in the interpretation and delivery of well-structured analysis.
Candidates will possess excellent analytical skills, have commercial and strategic awareness and, ideally, experience of working in a similar role in the food and drinks sector with the major multiples. FMCG trade experience is a must, although not necessarily in the drinks industry.
You will have good personal and communication skills and be confident to propose the “so what?” of your analysis. You will be proactive, energetic, and resilient, with a strong moral compass.
The role will involve customer meetings and the successful individual must be willing to travel and commit to occasional overnight stays. Living within an hour’s commute to Myrtle Farm is also a must.
