You will be responsible for the design and development of assessment methods and instruments ensuring the validity of assessment is embedded at each stage of the assessment lifecycle (design, develop, award, review). You will ensure grade exemplars, mark schemes and grading descriptors for questions, tests and other forms of assessment are robust, reliable and ensure comparability year on year. The role requires a high degree of organisational skills and the ability to manage a close-knit departmental team based either from home or at the offices in Bristol and a wider field team of IQAs and Independent Assessors nationwide.
You will ensure assessors and staff are trained to the highest standard, conducting standardisation and development sessions when required.
You will be responsible for ensuring IQA is completed effectively and appropriately, including the sampling of assessor judgements and performance over time, and in accordance with the Quality Assurance Strategy, and validity policy. You will be the point of contact for the EQAP and respond to sampling requests from those bodies.
You will prepare reports for the board and the Director of Operations and ensure that frequent and ongoing feedback is sought from employers/providers and learners on the service and effectiveness of our EPAs, resources and overall experience
You will inspire and embed a culture of continual improvement within the company.
